This position involves the investigation, evaluation and settlement of claims involving bodily injury:
Qualifications for this position are:
- VT adjusters license
- College degree preferred
- Excellent understanding and skill level of claim handling and customer service
- Ability to meet continuing education requirements for licensing purposes
- Knowledge of policy contracts, insurance laws, regulations and the legal environment in which we operate
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work extra hours when the workload requires
- Ability to be on the telephone and/or computer for extended periods of time
- Applicants should have a minimum of 2-5 years experience handling BI-Personal Auto claims
- Commercial Liability experience including knowledge of CGL policy coverage form a plus
- Proficient in PC windows environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Underwriting Associate, Personal Lines
Job Summary:
Responsible for the preliminary review and evaluation of all lines of business.
Provide assistance and address specific needs of agency staff regarding company
policies, procedures and system training issues.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preliminary review and limited approval, within guidelines/authority levels, of new business applications, renewals, maintenance underwriting,
changes, correspondence, policy reports, (Claim Registers – MVR – Inspections) pending, and follow-up
- Review and evaluate rating accuracy and coverage acceptability of all lines of business. Strong working knowledge of use of manual rules
and policy conditions and endorsements
- Provide technical/rating assistance and support to agency staff in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont
- Contribute in a team setting including Underwriter assistance and support
- Maintains department work standards for quality and quantity with an emphasis on attention to detail. Ability to handle a variety of tasks
- Keeps work area orderly, clean and safe; ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies, with attention to expenses
- Other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent education – post-secondary education a plus
- Above average typing skills
- Computer skills essential
- Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Programmer Analyst I
Position Description:
In this position, the qualified individual will analyze, enhance and maintain an existing Policy Administration system
through the use of third party tools provided by the vendor. Duties include:
- Work collaboratively with Business Analyst to develop an approach to designing proposed solutions
- Review, interpret and analyze business specifications to support system development
- Customize existing Property and Casualty policy rating system through use of Duck Creek Example tool set
- Work collaboratively with others for real-time integration of policy system with enterprise applications
- Perform unit testing in a controlled environment assuring proposed solutions are functional
- Prepare documentation
- Upon completion of all scheduled tasks, assist in the implementation process of moving the project components into production
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of the Property and Casualty Insurance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, SQL query statements, and XML data files
- Analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with Duck Creek Technology products a plus
Job Description
Coding development of business applications and system integrations related to property and casualty insurance applications.
Interpret business specifications or technical design specifications that include Visio diagrams and UML diagrams.
Extend technical design specifications to add detail for methods, classes, database tables, XML messages, message queues, user interface,
and scripts, as needed. Analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and other duties involved with the system
development life cycle, as may be assigned. Follow the system development methodology for projects
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of Insurance experience and/or programming skills
